Central Library Closed for Renovation - July 2

The Central Library and Library System Headquarters is now closed to the public, in order to begin extensive renovation work, as part of the Library’s Capital Improvement Program, Phase II project. The last day of service at the Central Library was Sunday, July 1, 2018.

Cooper Carry contracted with Fulton County to provide design services for the Central Library renovation project. Heery/Russell is the program management team. A request for proposals (RFP) for construction and engineering services is expected to be released by Fulton County in the coming days.

Renovations are expected to take 18-24 months to complete. During construction various aspects of the services available only at the Central Library will be moved to neighboring locations.
